Student

Internship Program & Cooperative Education

The Internship Program matches students educational goals with local business needs to provide students with practical business experience that reinforces their academic training and provides opportunities to gain early access into their chosen career.

Internships can involve a wide range of business activities, such as updating business plans, developing marketing plans, and designing user-friendly accounting and information systems.  Students may earn academic credit for their internships and typically also receive financial compensation. To earn academic credit for an internship, students must:

  • Be admitted to the School of Business Administration
  • Obtain faculty sponsorship.
  • Apply for "By Arrangement" credit.
  • Complete assignments agreed upon with faculty sponsor, which may include written assignments, oral presentations, other projects, and a written Evaluation (printable word document) by the intern's employer.

Check out some typical internships for business majors.  To receive regular notice of available internships, sign up for the Career Services UG Listserv.
